The Priory is splendidly placed to take advantage of many of the most attractive features of South Devon; the village of Abbotskerswell about half a mile away has the usual amenities - church, inns, post office, general store, cricket club, and so on. There is an 18-hole golf club just 2 miles away.

The M5 motorway link is just over one mile away as is the busy market town of Newton Abbot, where can be found excellent shopping facilities and the main line railway station with direct connections to London and other cities. The coast is five miles away, with Torquay, Brixham and Dartmouth all easily reached - this area offers some of the best coastal sailing in Britain. The outstanding small town of Totnes, the cultural activities of Dartington, and Dartmoor National Park are all readily accessible. The cathedral city and county town of Exeter is seventeen miles to the north, with first-rate shopping and theatre facilities.

To reach the Priory, follow the A380 from Newton Abbot towards Torbay; after one mile, turn right at the signpost marked "Aller Mills, Stoneycombe"; from here the Priory can be seem to the west. Cross the railway bridge, turn right, over another railway bridge, then first left up Priory Road. The main entrance to the Priory is quickly reached on the left.
